Ephesians 1:15-23 NIV
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
Ah, this verse always makes me smile!
There are so many people that cross my heart when I read it!
God is so glorious!
So wonderful!
When I think about the plans He has for me, and for you,
I can’t help but feel my heart fill with joy!
He has so much in store for us;
such grand plans!
Plans that we may be blind to.
I pray that you find comfort in His plans.
That even when the way might be foggy,
you remember where God has placed you,
and where He has brought you from.
Praise Him, always.
I am blessed by your words today……..thanks for sharing this verse!
I sent this question to a few frineds because it intrigued me. I would like to share the comment from one of them as mine because it was said so well Hi, Christina This got to me because I am aghast at the president’s creative Bible commentary. The Bible verse , From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked is from Luke 12:48. I looked at various commentaries and basically I believe the passage is dealing with salvation and judgment, linking them to the role of responsibility and privilege. When God gives any talent, ability, or knowledge of truth to His servants, He wants it used to His honor and glory. To fail to act in accordance with the revealed will of God will cause us to suffer loss when we are called to give an account of our stewardship at the judgment seat of Christ. On that day, all of our works will be tested by the fire of God’s holiness. It isn’t about money but about The Gospel which is the actual treasure. That’s my stab at it Peace and blessings, Lor VN:F [1.9.14_1148](from 1 vote)
