Here are the challenging words of a man, with a strong faith in having no faith.
If you’re like me, this article will rub you in a new way, maybe even make you laugh a little.
Everyone’s faith is different, everyone is going to believe in what they want. I just have one question; what kind of life do you desire to live when all you know is that you will one day die? What kind of joy would that bring you? To desire nothing more than knowing that nothing is worth anything, and nothing that happens has a purpose? Sad life, really.
I understand that some people do not believe in our faithful Father, but why would one want to live believing in nothing bigger than themselves? How little one’s heart may be to only see what is here today, and have no desire other than what they can physically see?
We have far to go brothers and sisters; so many more hearts to reach and touch.
Sometimes I give him spare change. Once I gave him a banana, for which he seemed genuinely grateful. I’m sorry for his predicament (he’s likely a refugee from a war-torn land), but I try not to let myself become an easy target for people begging for money, either. Maybe this is a holdover from my New York days.
